We make iOS apps for niches the App Store forgot.
Self-funded and craft-obsessed, we are inspired by art, history, and the quiet power of tools made with intention — not investor decks. Where ideas wake up as apps.
Reading
Beautiful readers for communities that love stories. Designed for immersion, not distraction.
Health & Wellness
Track habits, understand patterns, build discipline. Tools that respect your data and your time.
Productivity
Focused tools that do one thing and do it well. No bloat, no subscriptions, no nonsense.
Finance
Simple money tools without the predatory upsells. Your finances, not their revenue model.
We build what’s missing.
We look for corners of the App Store where people are underserved — where the existing options are broken, abandoned, or never existed in the first place — and we build something worth opening.
No venture capital. No growth hacking. No exit strategy. Just tools that earn their place on your home screen so you can focus on your life’s work.

How we think about building
User-first
No dark patterns. No notification spam. No engagement tricks. We build tools, not traps.
Small and sharp
Every feature earns its place. We’d rather ship five things that work perfectly than fifty that kind of work.
Native quality
Fast, reliable, and designed for the platform. No web views pretending to be apps. No compromises on craft.
What we’re building
Every app we make is its own product with its own identity — because every community deserves tools that feel like they were made for them.
Health & Wellness
Tools for building better daily habits and understanding yourself.
Coming 2026Reading & Entertainment
Beautiful reading experiences for communities that love stories.
Coming 2026More to come
We’re always exploring. New ideas are in the works.
Stay tunedHow we work
We don’t follow a rigid methodology or run two-week sprints for the sake of process. We follow the work. Every app starts the same way — with a real problem and a refusal to settle for what already exists.
Identify
Find a niche where people are underserved. Talk to real users. Read every one-star review on existing apps. Understand not just the pain, but why nobody has fixed it yet.
Research
Study what exists — the good, the abandoned, the ones that pivoted into something unrecognizable. Map the gaps. Figure out what “good enough” actually means for this community, then aim higher.
Design
Obsess over the details. Prototype relentlessly. Test with real people, not personas. Strip away everything that doesn’t earn its place. If a screen needs a tutorial, the screen is wrong.
Build
Native Swift, native performance, native feel. We write the code ourselves — no outsourcing, no cross-platform shortcuts. Every animation, every transition, every haptic is intentional.
Ship & Listen
Launch small, listen hard, iterate fast. We read every support email, every App Store review, every Reddit thread. The best version of the app is always the next one — and we never stop shipping.
“Most studios optimize for speed to market. We optimize for right to market. It takes longer, but the result is something people actually keep on their phones.”
Our design language
We believe great tools should feel invisible. Every interaction should be intuitive, every animation purposeful, every screen uncluttered. We don’t add features to check boxes — we add them because they make someone’s day slightly better.
Typography
Clean, legible, and never fighting for attention.
Motion
Subtle and physical. Nothing moves without reason.
Color
Restrained palettes that feel warm and intentional.
Density
Generous whitespace. Every element earns its pixel.

Why Dreamyard exists
We started Dreamyard because we kept finding apps that almost worked — tools that were close but never quite right. Abandoned projects with years-old bugs. Bloated feature sets designed by committee. Dark patterns baked so deep into the business model that the app couldn’t survive without them.
The App Store has 1.8 million apps, and somehow entire communities are still underserved. People who track niche health conditions. Readers of specific genres. Anyone who wants a simple financial tool that doesn’t try to become a bank.
So we decided to build the apps we wished existed. Small, focused, opinionated tools made by people who actually use them every day. No investors to appease, no growth targets to hit, no acqui-hire exit plan. Just good work, shipped with care, maintained with pride.
The name “Dreamyard” comes from the idea that every great product starts as something slightly naive — a dream you tend like a garden until it grows into something real. We believe the best work comes from that kind of patience.
Independence
Self-funded, self-directed. We answer to users, not boards. Every dollar comes from people who choose to pay for tools they find valuable.
Longevity
We build to maintain, not to flip. No planned obsolescence, no sunset timelines. These apps are here to stay, and so are we.
Transparency
No hidden data collection. No surprise paywalls. No fine print traps. If we change something, we tell you why.
Craft
We care about the pixels, the copy, the micro-interactions. Building is a craft, and we treat it like one.
